Dazzle of Darkness
January 23 - May 4, 2025 @ BMoCA
While forces of light and dark are often simplified as opposites in a dualistic world, the multifaceted works in Dazzle of Darkness expose this false dichotomy. The artists challenge the one-dimensional reality we have been conditioned to accept and offer a gateway into a new consciousness of the subtle and infinite nuances of the universe.

Mark Sinks statement :
Capturing portraits and emotion has been a lifelong journey through subtle, expressions, body language, light, and composition. It's a patient search to create a psychological depth that invites a viewer to connect personally. As for the process, i have always gone reverse technology, here with the toy plastic Diana camera and 19th century Collodion Wetplate. In this age of digital inkjet reproduction, it is very refreshing and special to make a one-of-a-kind image with light landing on silver.
