“THE HELP”

Out and about in Mexico ?  .

Last summer I met a beautiful man from San Miguel de Allende Mexico, Alcides Fortes of Galería Nudo. His work with the art community and kids immediately charmed me. After some discussion we assembled a special limited edition portfolio of some of my favorite famous face snapshots from the 1980s for a exhibition during the Day of the Dead celebration.

A good fit for Day of the Dead for its a remembrance and celebration artists who have passed on.

Denver has a big connection to San Miguel. My parents used to drive down in the 1950s and 60s in dad’s old Porsche C. Denver’s beat literary hero Neal Cassady died there. It’s on the art and resort circuit today of Aspen, Santa Fe and San Miguel. We have great friends there Alfredo and Jim of Camino Silvestre

@caminosilvestre .. they are living the dream there. They have shown my work in their shop and at art fairs in Mexico City. Many other Denver expats have made SMA their home. Reverse immigration of sorts.

The show is expanded with amazing collaborators and authors and installions and even wheat pasting !
